The Humidor

The Humidor

Quality matters to us, and we work hard to make sure our humidor is always operating in tip-top shape.

In case you didn’t know, you need a quality humidifier to store quality cigars in our humidor, so we purchased a top-of-the-line model because we want to offer something new at Cigar Cutters.

We have filled our humidor with cigars that the customers ask for. We listen to the customer! We even have an iPad on the wall at the entrance of the humidor and you can request cigars on our wish list. The iPad also gives you the information on the cigar you’re smoking.

After all, it makes no sense to invest in a world-class humidor if you don’t fill it with world-class cigars. What’s the fun in doing business that way?

If you've never seen what a humidor looks like, stop by our cigar bar along McGregor Avenue in Fort Myers.

If a humidor is even a few degrees off, it can ruin the entire collection if left unnoticed for some time. The difference of a few percentage points of humidity can also do the same.

That’s why we keep our humidor humming at an internal humidity no higher than 70 percent and 70 degrees.

Combine those two factors – proper humidity and a cool temperate – and that’s how you get a top-class cigar and a world-class smoking experience.

Usually, first-time cigar smokers keep their stogies in the fridge or the freezer, but that’s a rookie mistake. Unfortunately, it’s a mistake we see cigar bars making too!

You’ll be able to tell the difference between a cigar that’s been in the fridge and one that’s been resting comfortably in a humidor. The smoke itself will taste and smell different when a cigar is fresh and ready to be smoked.

But don’t think that a good humidor is an air-tight fridge. A quality humidor actually allows cool air to flow around the cigars so that they don’t start to grow mold.

Once you come in, ask us about our humidor, and we’ll show you the selection we currently have in stock.
